This show starts off very slow and sluggish. The band is more loose than tight and Robert's voice is incredibly raspy and in poor shape, much like the Chicago shows from three days earlier. However, by Dazed And Confused, his voice is strong and his singing is amazing. Dazed is very long and very loose but exciting and Jimmy's solo in Stairway To Heaven is sheer beauty. The final three songs rock very hard and the improvisations are very spontaneous, loose, and thrilling to hear! A great recovery! What very exciting, Page plays an opening intro to Dancing Days just before Misty Mountain Hop and the Laurel and Hardy theme just before Dazed. John Bonham was announced as the one who "comes to you courtesy of the makers of Quaaludes". |
