An amazing show on Bonham's 25th birthday. "Today, John Bonham is 21 (sic!) - he's always 21! I've known the birthday baby for about fifteen years ... and he's been a regular bastard all the time!" The group all celebrates, turning in one of their finest performances ever and Plant led led the crowd through a few verses of Happy Birthday to Bonzo! Every song features incredible playing from everyone, and the long improvisations are top notch ... of particular note are that during this concert through the June 3rd one, Jimmy is playing with a sprained left finger and ices it between numbers ... his playing is so amazing I never would have known it! |
