Exceptional! This show captures Zeppelin at their fun and most energetic best. A great late DJ J. J. Jackson made his appearance tonight introducing the band on stage. "Good evening! Nice to be back. This is gotta be about the sixth time" stated Plant after storming Immigrant Song/Heartbreaker medley. A kicking show with a very Hendrix-inspired Dazed And Confused and the first to last known recording of Out On The Tiles live, as a rare encore, as well as the surprise Blueberry Hill encore! That's The Way was introduced to the audience with much appreciation so Plant commented that: "It gives us great pleasure to hear that. We've had a bit of abuse in the Midwest, every time you sit on a chair and pick up a mandolin." A rowdy audience threw a few firecrackers onstage before the first encore so Plant asked: "Who throw that firecracker? You ought to be locked up!" |
