A truly powerful show just a week before as the band took BBC Playhouse Theatre's venue on June 27th, 1969. The performance is superb and the curiosities such as the harmonica/drums/bass interlude before You Shook Me and some frenetically delivered lines from Donovan's There Is A Mountain during How Many More Times are priceless. The band and the audience seem to be having a great time. "You know we do a lot of work in America but I think this is the best night we've ever had in England," says Robert near the end. |
